Wait a minute, what?? Some cars costs almost what it could take to own a private jet. When we talk about the most expensive cars in the planet, we are not talking about our regular on road vehicles. These cars are known as speed demons and are produced by companies for special purposes thereby making some of them very limited.

These cars are very expensive and can't be seen like other common vehicles. Worthy times were spent for their crafting and designs which made them stand out like the Bugatti la Voitre Noire which had only one production but costs a whole lot of money to be acquired.

Bugatti la Voitre Noire

When I stated earlier that some of them are worth fortunes that could be used to acquire a private jet, this was the main deal. The Bugatti la Voitre Noire was made in celebration of Bugatti's 100th anniversary and pays homage to the company's history.


The founder of Bugatti, Eltore Bugatti's son Jean Bugatti developed four type 57C Atlantic coupes in the 1930s and drove one of his creations which he named "la Voitre Noire".

This car costs an amazing $18.7 million and it has already been sold to an anonymous buyer but reports claims it to be popular football player, Cristiano Ronaldo. The speed demon has a lot of elegance and was dropped to the world in March at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show.

The body of the la Voitre Noire is carbon fiber and is hand crafted. It possesses a quad turbo W16 engine sending upwards of 1,500 horsepower (1,119 kilowatts) to all it's four wheels. Though the car was unveiled and sold to an anonymous buyer, it has no interiors and the reason is because it had been worked on for only 6 months. The final road version of this car is not to be expected to be completed for another two and half years.

Rolls Royce Sweeptail

The Rolls Royce Sweeptail comes second on the list. This car is also the most expensive British car ever made in the world. The Rolls Royce Sweeptail was influenced by cars such as the 1934 Phantom II streamlined saloon and the park ward 20/25 Limousine silhouette.


The interiors are marvellous, opening the doors reveals cosseting thrones, polished metal surfaces and a full length panoramic roof. Four years before the Rolls Royce Sweeptail made it's public appearance, the British company marque approached a favored connoisseur of the company with the idea of creating a modern coach built car.

Rolls Royce has never named the car's owner or how much was been paid for the car but the handcraft of this car is marvelous.

Mercedes Benz Maybach Exelero

The Maybach Exelero was a one-off high-performance sports car made by Stola in collaboration with DaimlerChrysler. It was unveiled at the Tempodrom in Berlin in 2005.

In collaboration with Maybach, the initial design of the Exelero was to be influenced by the Maybach SW 38 and built on the platform of the Maybach 57.

The Exelero is powered by a twin turbo V12 engine made by the defunct Maybach (now a part of the Mercedes-Benz division of Daimler AG, and mounted at 60º. Each cylinder has 3 valves, and a compression ratio of 9.2:1. The engine produces 700 PS (690 hp; 515 kW) at 5000 rpm and 752 ft⋅lb (1,020 N⋅m) of torque at 2500 rpm.

The Exelero has a top speed of 351 km/h (218 mph) and a 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) acceleration time of 4.4 seconds.

The main materials used in the construction of the Exelero's interior are dark and red leather, neoprene, glossy black carbon fiber, and aluminum accents. The Exelero has sport seats with red harness-style seatbelts.

Bugatti Divo

The Bugatti Divo is the fourth most expensive car in the world. It is named after French racing driver Albert Divo, who raced for Bugatti in the 1920s winning the Targa Florio race twice.

The interior in the Divo is relatively similar to the more luxurious Chiron, but has Alcantara upholstery and carbon-fibre trim in order to save weight.

The car is 8.0 seconds quicker than the Chiron around the Nardò test track according to the manufacturer and generates 456 kg (1,005 lb) of downforce at top speed, 90 kg (198 lb) more than the Chiron.

The Bugatti Divo was only produced in 40 units and the car will be built along with the chiron at the Bugatti factory. All 40 cars were pre-sold before the public debut to chiron owners through special invitations by the dealers.


5) Koenigsegg CCXR TREVITA

The CCXR Trevita is a limited edition of the Koenigsegg CCXR featuring a diamond weave carbon fibre finish. Trevita is an abbreviation in Swedish and translates into "three whites".

Initially, three CCXR Trevitas were planned to be produced, however, because of the complexity to make the special diamond weave carbon-fibre, only 2 were ever made, making it one of the rarest vehicles manufactured by Koenigsegg.

The Trevita is also one of the most expensive sports cars, costing US$4.8 million.

Lamborghini Veneno Roadster

This speed demon comes sixth on this list.With a maximum output of 552 kW / 750 hp, the Veneno Roadster accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds and top speed stands at 355 km/h.

The Lamborghini Veneno Roadster is driven by a twelve-cylinder engine with a displacement of 6.5 liters and is equipped with the extremely fast-shifting ISR transmission with five modes, permanent all-wheel drive and a racing chassis with pushrod suspension and horizontal spring/damper units.


Carbon fiber dominates also the interior of the Veneno Roadster. The carbon fiber monocoque is visible inside the car around the central tunnel and the sills. The two lightweight bucket seats are made from Lamborghini's patented Forged Composite. The woven carbon-fiber CarbonSkin is used to clad the entire cockpit, part of the seats and the headliner.

Mclaren P1 LM

This expensive car was launched in 2017.

The P1 LM isn't actually built by McLaren. The company responsible for it is Lanzante, which used the track-only P1 GTR as the basis. This is the same Lanzante that fielded the F1 GTR race car that won overall in the 1995 24 Hours of Le Mans, and recently the firm’s been in the headlines for building street-legal versions of the P1 GTR.

A W16 Quad Turbo engine displaces eight liters, features 1,200 horsepower, seven-speed automatic transmission, and all-wheel drive. Acceleration is a head-whipping 2.5 seconds in the 0-60 mph standard, 0-100 mph in 5.5 seconds and 10.1 seconds for a standing quarter mile. Ten radiators are standard to handle the air conditioner and the engine cooling’s systems. The top speed is 254 mph.

Lanzante's P1 LM was developed as a spiritual successor to the McLaren F1 LM. Just six P1 were built, including a prototype, matching the original run of F1 LMs. One of the key modifications made by Lanzante was getting the P1 GTR’s hybrid drivetrain, rated at 986 horsepower, to run on pump gas. Other mods included gold-plated heat shields in the engine bay, a lighter exhaust system, and a more efficient intercooler.

Lykan Hypersports

This is the first sports car to be designed and produced indigenously in the Middle East.

The Lykan Hypersport is a Lebanese limited production supercar manufactured by W Motors, a United Arab Emirates based company, founded in 2012 in Lebanon with the collaboration of Lebanese and Italian engineers.

The HyperSport is the first car to have headlights with embedded jewels; they contain titanium LED blades with 420 diamonds (15cts). At least two of the cars have been sold, one to an anonymous buyer, as revealed in a YouTube video by W Motors. In June 2015, the Abu Dhabi police force purchased a Lykan HyperSport.

The wings of the Bugatti Veyron has been modified, air intake with sharp accents and upgraded side skirts provide improved aerodynamics. The first end of the car is shortened and a molded lip has been added.

Aston Martin Valkyrie

Aston Martin Valkyrie is a limited production hybrid sports car collaboratively built by British automobile manufacturer Aston Martin, Red Bull Racing and several other manufacturers. The car can accelerate to 97 km/h (60 mph) from a standstill in a time of 2.5 seconds.

A Rimac-built hybrid battery system, which performs as a KERS system, is installed along with the engine. The power is delivered by a 7-speed paddle-shift transmission constructed by Ricardo. The exhausts come out nearby the engine, similar to the ones from F1 race cars and the Porsche 918 Spyder.

In March 2017, Aston Martin revealed that the car would be named Valkyrie, after the Norse mythological figure.

According to Red Bull, the name was chosen to continue the tradition of "V" nomenclature of Aston Martin's automobiles and to distinguish the vehicle as a high-performance car (the "V" was used as the distinguishing factor).

Ferrari Pininfarina Sergio

The Pininfarina Sergio is a concept car produced by the Italian design house Pininfarina. It was presented at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show as a tribute to the former chairman of the company and the infamous automotive designer, Sergio Pininfarina, who died on 3 July 2012.

The exterior design consists of floats and aerodynamic headrests which are attached to the roll bar rather than the body of the seats, becoming almost elements of the exterior more than the interior.

Ferrari built six units of the Sergio starting in 2015 and sold it to handpicked customers. The production version consists of heavy modifications over the concept with the most noticeable being the addition of the windshield along with a removable hard top.


Pagani Huayra BC

This car is named after Huayra-tata, a Quechua wind god. The Huayra was named "The Hypercar of the Year 2012" by  Top Gear magazine. On 11 February 2015 it was reported that the Pagani Huayra has been sold out.

The Huayra was limited to just 100 units as part of Pagani's agreement with engine supplier Mercedes-AMG.

The Pagani Huayra was officially debuted online with several pictures in a press release on 25 January 2011. The official world debut was at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show held in March.

Bugatti Chiron

The Chiron was first shown at the Geneva Motor Show on 1 March 2016. The car is based on the Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo concept car.

The car is named after the Monegasque driver Louis Chiron. The car shares the name with the 1999 Bugatti 18/3 Chiron concept car.

The first 200 cars were sold before the first delivery of the car. The base price is €2,400,000 and buyers were required to place a €200,000 deposit before their purchase.


14) la Ferrari FXX K

The Ferrari FXX K is a high performance limited production track day car manufactured by automobile manufacturer Ferrari in Maranello, Italy.

Designed by Marco Fainello,Adrián Méndez and architect Samuel Rodriguez at Centro Stile Ferrari, the FXX K is based on the street-legal LaFerrari.

The hybrid powerplant used in the FXX-K has a total power output of 1,050 PS (772 kW; 1,036 hp) and over 900 N⋅m (664 lb⋅ft), of which 860 PS (633 kW; 848 hp) are delivered by the V12 ICE and 190 PS (140 kW; 187 hp) by the electric motor.


The FXX-K is not intended to be used in competition and was developed to give an uncompromising experience to the driver. The FXX-K was unveiled at the Yas Marina Circuit in late 2014.

Mercedes Benz AMG One

The AMG One was unveiled at the 2017 International Motor Show Germany by Formula One driver Lewis Hamilton, who worked on the development of the car, and Head of Mercedes-Benz Dieter Zetsche.

The production of the car is planned to be 275 units at a price of US$2.72 million per unit, all of which have been already sold. Mercedes-AMG received orders for four times the production amount, but have stated that production will not be increased from the planned 275 units.

The powertrain of the Mercedes-AMG ONE is expected to be rated at 775–918 kW (1,054–1,248 PS; 1,039–1,231 hp) through a hybrid drivetrain that shares many features with modern Formula One cars.

Ferrari Laferrari Aperta

The Aperta is our sixteenth most expensive car in the world.

LaFerrari Aperta is the open-top version of LaFerrari.

The car was unveiled at the 2016 Paris Motor Show. Like past open-top Ferrari models, it uses the Aperta label to denote its removable roof. According to Ferrari, all units were already pre-sold to customers via invitation.

The Aperta comes with a removable carbon fibre hard top and a removable canvas soft top.

Lamborghini Sesto Elemento

It's Sesto Elemento in English means "sixth element". The Lamborghini Sesto Elemento got debuted at the 2010 Paris Motor Show.

The Sesto Elemento's name is a reference to the atomic number of carbon, in recognition of the car's extensive use of carbon fibre.

Lamborghini announced plans to produce 20 cars for track use only in mid-2011 with each car costing US$2.92 million. All 20 cars were already sold upon the confirmation of production. At that time, the Sesto Elemento was the most expensive Lamborghini ever created.

Koenigsegg One

The Koenigsegg One was presented at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show held in March.

Koenigsegg built six cars apart from the car presented at the Geneva Motor Show. All of which were already sold.

The name One:1 comes from the power-to-weight ratio (1,360 PS to 1360 kg) giving the car 1 PS per 1 kg mass. The 1,360 PS power output is the equivalent of one megawatt, which Koenigsegg claims makes the One:1 the 'world's first megacar'. The car is track focused as opposed to the previous cars made by Koenigsegg.

Zenvo TS1 GT

The Zenvo TS1 GT is a limited production sports car manufactured by Danish automobile manufacturer Zenvo Automotive. It was unveiled at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show.

the two-seat Zenvo TS1 features standout styling, bolstered with a twin-supercharged 5.9-liter V8 that’s claimed to put 1,100 horsepower to the pavement. It can run to 60 mph in around 2.8 seconds and achieve a blazing top speed of 233 mph.

Production is limited to 15 units.

Ferrari Laferrari

This Ferrari is the last Ferrari model with a mid-mounted 12-cylinder engine.

The car was unveiled at the 2013 Geneva Auto Show, followed by Auto Shanghai 2013, 2013 Tour Auto Optic 2000, 2013 Supercar Chronicle,Italian Chamber of Commerce in Japan.

Ferrari states that the car has a top speed exceeding 349 km/h (217 mph), similar to the Enzo's top speed, however, it is capable of accelerating from a standstill to 100 km/h (62 mph) in under 2.4 seconds, 0–200 km/h (0–124 mph) in under 7 seconds, and 0–300 km/h (0–186 mph) in 15 seconds.
