Early Life 

Omoniyi Temidayo Raphael was born on December 19, 1994. He was born and raised in ilorin but his family roots are in Ekiti State. The artist decided to pursue his career in music after finishing his secondary school. Zlatan is a graduate of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic with a national diploma in Business Administration.

At the age of 19, Zlatan won the Airtel sponsored "One Mic Campus Tour" music competition which was held in Abeokuta, Ogun State. He gained recognition in the Nigerian music industry after featuring Olamide on the song "My Body" in 2017.

He received wider prominence after his huge contribution to Chinko Ekun's 'Able God' released on September 13, 2018. Many thought that song belonged to zlatan cause of the buzz he brought to it. The tune was produced by hitmaker Rexxie. 

Zlatan dropped "Zanku(legwork)" on October 2018. The song was about the infectious "Zanku" dance that got momentum in the country after fading away Shaku Shaku. He released the Davido assisted track "Osanle" later in November 2018 and dropped the visuals some days after, displaying his Zanku dance steps on the music video directed by Twitch.

Before 2018 ran out, Burnaboy featured Zlatan on the hit single "Killin Dem". The two artists put in their best for a street vibe catchy song. He got on Davido's first 2019 single "Bum Bum" delivering awesome rap verse on the song. The audio was handled by Rexxie while the visuals were left to the capable hands of Twitch. 

Naira Marley and Zlatan Ibile dropped the single "Am I A Yahoo Boy". The controversial song led to other controversial events like the two getting arrested by the Economic And Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). 

Zlatan released 'Bolanle' teaming up with IVD, one of the most popular car dealers on Instagram. The song was produced by Phantom and talks about a girl named Bolanle who has a stingy boyfriend. 

On October 24, 2019 Zlatan came with a powerful joint record "Gbeku" with Burnaboy to introduce the new dance step. It was produced by certified hitmaker Rexxie. The song was one of the tracks on his debut album "Zanku" which was released on November 1, 2019.

Controversies 

Zlatan Ibile, Naira Marley and their three friends were arrested after the controversial video of "Am I A Yahoo Boy". They were arrested on claims to being involved in Cyber Fraud. 

After five days of intense grilling in EFCC detention, they were released temporary except for Naira Marley who was still kept in custody as a result of incriminating evidences against him.
